Each piece is imagined as a single still frame in an infinite chemical process of decay and regeneration. The titles of my pieces are selected to capture the emotional content as I experience it; each operates as a single line of poetry with the potential for further development in their own right. I am a Maine-based artist and practicing expressive arts therapist, with a BA in Psychology and Studio Art from The University of Southern Maine, and an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. My love for the process of art making has driven all major life decisions, recklessly sometimes. May it always be that way. https://www.baileysaliwanchik.com/paint daily 1.0 2026-06-15 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/a63adea2-ab06-463e-b6a1-9a7c3c6b17a0/Oxidativeburst.jpg Paint - Make it stand out Waiting to welcome you home, 2025, oil on plywood, 24”x24” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/1596150778329-2VCHK6YL6UVPWPKKBNA1/Bpainting.jpg Paint - Make it stand out Entrophy, oil on birch panel, 2021, 42”x48” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/10b302e4-1869-4d15-9707-2814cd2c7eb9/Deflagration.jpeg Paint - Make it stand out Slow Burn, oil on birch panel, 2017, 48”x48” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/4cbdfc96-c2a6-430b-9e53-bc0b71dfcc0e/Density+and+Weight+%281%29.jpeg Paint - Make it stand out Density and Weight, oil on birch panel, 2017, 48”x48” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/1451168085068-295ZU36R2AWG2GJ9JFH4/growth.jpg Paint - Make it stand out Bone, oil on wood panel, 2017, 36” diameter https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/1451168135551-I9NLAKFSRQV94AT8SY47/Lungs.jpg Paint - Make it stand out Lungs, oil on wood panel, 2016, 24”x24” https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/1451170052065-4WGDNDLQ4NWG6XZ3K5IZ/PInk.jpg Paint - Make it stand out Throat, oil on wood panel, 2016, 16” diameter https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/51eff353e4b0bd4e975866cd/1451167496521-VB3PMV8V6A93U5I3NJQ3/seafoam.jpg Paint - Make it stand out The Sea, oil on wood panel, 2016, 16” diameter
