Bailey Saliwanchik is a Maine-based artist and expressive arts therapist. She holds a BA in Psychology and Studio Art from The University of Southern Maine, and an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University.
Her work is created through a process of coaxing, amplifying, and enlivening simple, intuitively drawn base structures (a single gestural line, a messy splash of paint) into fleshy, textural, fully developed organic forms. Each piece is imagined as a single still frame in an infinite chemical process.
