Bailey Saliwanchik is a Maine-based artist and expressive arts therapist. She holds a BA in Psychology and Studio Art from The University of Southern Maine, and an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. Her finished work exists as the documentation of a process of amplifying, coaxing, and enlivening simple, intuitively drawn base structures (a single gestural line, or the existing grain of wood) into fleshy and textural studies on organic form, embodiment, and the tenuous relationship between growth and decay.
